* The Royal Gallery dress code is strictly Dress Uniform, National Dress, Evening Dress, or Business Attire. Jeans, short trousers, and sport shoes are not permitted. The dress code reflects the VIP status of The Royal Gallery that regularly plays host to guests including British Royalty, foreign Heads of State, and senior politicians, and military personnel. Whilst the Royal Gallery is under cover, it is open to the front, so we ask that you bring a warm layer. Tartan blankets are also provided.

Arrive at the 5* Virgin Hotel in central Edinburgh. Check in is from 3pm, and you will have time to explore a little of your surroundings before meeting fellow guests.

Join your fellow Tour guests and meet your dedicated Tour Manager. Enjoy a champagne welcome reception in a private area within the hotel and learn about the tour ahead. The rest of your evening is at leisure.

After a full breakfast, we embark on an Edinburgh adventure. Today you will take in some iconic sights and attractions such as the Palace of Holyroodhouse, a magnificent champagne afternoon tea and the majestic Royal Yacht Britannia with transportation via private executive coach.

After breakfast you take a guided walking tour of Edinburgh, learning about the rich history and architecture of the city and explore the iconic Edinburgh Castle with your guide. You will experience an exclusive Q&A session with a valued member of the Tattoo team. Enjoy the chance to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes of this impressive event. Afterwards you will embark upon a tour of the Scotch Whisky Experience with a Scottish tasting lunch included.

EVENING

Your evening tonight is spent at the spectacular Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Enjoy a four-course meal and specially selected wine pairings at Cannonball House, an iconic historic venue atop the Royal Mile beside the Castle Esplanade. The experience also features a performance by members of the 2026 cast and a backstage tour of the Tattoo arena and the Castle. You will then take the best seats in the arena in the covered Royal Gallery and sit back for the show. Afterwards you can join the after-show drinks and canapes reception held within the Royal Gallery. On your return to the hotel, meet your fellow guests and Tour Manager for a traditional last dram and talk about your night.

Your journey will set off from Edinburgh and travel north with views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge towards the Kingdom of Fife. We visit Dunfermline Abbey, the final resting place of King Robert the Bruce. Explore its grand architecture and peaceful gardens before heading north. Enjoy a private guided tour of the Carnegie Birthplace Museum in Dunfermline, the humble childhood home of Andrew Carnegie – one of the world’s most influential philanthropists. Learn how Carnegie rose from modest beginnings to become a steel magnate and global benefactor, funding thousands of libraries and charitable causes. We then head to St Andrews where you will enjoy a luxurious 2 night stay in the famous Old Course Hotel with rooms overlooking the golf course.

Explore the town of St Andrews this morning with a guided walk and learn about this historic town. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to further explore this beautiful town. Marvel at the University buildings, take a stroll along the beach or have an iconic photograph on Swilcan Bridge overlooking thew 18th hole of the famous Old Course. The choice is yours.

Your evening is at leisure. You can enjoy a meal within the hotel or take a short walk into St Andrews and explore the many restaurants and bars on offer. It is a vibrant town full of interesting venues. Afterwards why not enjoy a relaxed drink overlooking the famous Old Course.

On our travels North to Ness Walk, we stop into Blair Castle and Gardens. Blair Castle has been the home of the Atholl family for over seven centuries. The castle has had a diverse history, witnessing both turbulent and peaceful times, enlarged and adapted over 750 years. Home to politicians, soldiers, agriculturalists and entrepreneurs, the family history is brought to life against a backdrop of fine 18th century interiors and Scots Baronial architecture, in 30 rooms.

Tonight you will enjoy a group dinner in the hotel restaurant. Settle into this marvellous hotel with a tasty dinner and then afterwards, enjoy a leisurely evening at your own pace. Take a relaxing walk around the hotel grounds, soak in the tranquil atmosphere, or unwind in one of the hotel bars.

Start your day with a tour of Culloden Battlefield. Experience the emotions of the Battle of Culloden through an immersive tour that includes the museum. We take to Loch Ness for an unforgettable cruise. As you sail on the legendary loch, keep an eye out for the elusive Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster and one of Scotland’s fabled treasures. Enjoy the stunning scenery and delve into the legends and history of this iconic location. Next, travel through the breathtaking landscapes of Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most dramatic and historically significant glens. Here, you’ll stop at the Visitor Centre, offering panoramic views of Ben Nevis and insights into the area’s wartime history and local heritage. This scenic route provides incredible photo opportunities and a chance to take in the raw beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Finish the day with a visit to one of the many Whisky Distilleries to see how the amber liquid is made and perhaps try a wee dram!

Visit the Wallace Monument, a towering tribute to Sir William Wallace, one of Scotland's greatest heroes. Climb to the top for breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and learn about Wallace's legacy through the monument's exhibits.
